Press Release: heartbase to Partner with Health Outcomes Sciences

Heartbase, Inc., the premier database in healthcare, has partnered with Kansas City, Missouri-based Health Outcomes Sciences, Inc. (HOS), a provider of groundbreaking predictive analytics. HOS has an exclusive contract with the ACC-NCDR for a number of risk stratification modules, including real-time risk adjustments for PCI In-Hospital Mortality, PCI Bleeding, Acute Kidney Injury, and PCI 30-Day Readmission. These models can be implemented for both predictive and retrospective scoring, and can be embedded directly into existing heartbase™ reports and dashboards. Paired with heartbase’s groundbreaking registry submission and reporting software, HOS’s risk models will greatly strengthen the reporting and research capabilities of heartbase™ healthcare clients to quickly identify risk factors and improve clinical care.

“As the hospital industry continues to shift to a pay-for-performance model, predictive analytics are becoming increasingly vital for healthcare providers,” said Stephen Gawrit, Director of Sales and Operations at heartbase, Inc. “Health Outcomes Sciences provides the most influential predictive models in the industry, and their level of expertise and innovation is unparalleled. Heartbase is excited to work with HOS to provide our customers with the most powerful reporting tools in healthcare.”

“We are really excited to team up with heartbase and are looking forward to helping improve outcomes through the use of predictive analytics. The combination of heartbase and the ePRISM(r) platform from HOS will provide a solid foundation for hospitals and health systems to excel in this era of value-based care,” said Ryan Fox, Vice President of Sales and Marketing with Heath Outcomes Sciences Inc.

Happy Memorial Day from heartbase

Heartbase offices will be closed on Monday, March 29th in observance of Memorial Day. As we enjoy the company of our friends and family this weekend, we also pay the most sincere respect to the fallen heroes of wars of the past and present.

To veterans everywhere: heartbase thanks you for your service to this great nation.

Unite with heartbase at HRS 2017!

heartbase is thrilled to be attending the Heart Rhythm Society Scientific Sessions, right here in our own backyard of Chicago! We will be presenting our innovative dictationless Electrophysiology Note. Capturing data from hospital systems and devices, heartbase has created a revolutionary, dictationless electronic note that fully integrates clinical data from the cardiac EP ICD procedure. Please let us know if you’re going to be attending this enormous event. We would love for you to stop by Booth 1627 (near the enormous Medtronic display) to give you a personal demonstration of our EP Noting solution. If you or anyone from your healthcare network is attending the conference and would like to learn more, contact Alex Potanos.

heartbase Celebrates National Nurses Week 2017

May 6-May 12, we celebrate National Nurses Week 2017.  It’s fitting that this week of celebration begins on a Saturday instead of a Monday, because nurses don’t work the standard 9-5 schedule. Nurses work nights, weekends, and holidays. They provide us with the care we need, when we need it.  They’re our caregivers, our teachers, our counselors, and our friends.

heartbase would like to take this opportunity to thank nurses everywhere for all of the amazing things you do. More specifically, we would like to thank the nurses who have helped make heartbase the company it is. We have always taken a collegial approach to improving our product, and we truly do depend on your advice and feedback to continually improve our hbCOR platform. We’re lucky to be able to collaborate with you all!

We’d also like to send extra-special thanks to heartbase’s resident nurse and clinical trainer, Carmen Ernst, RN, BSN, whose work ethic, curiosity, and astounding attention to detail has been a key component to our success. Thank you for everything, Carmen!

It may be National Nurses Week, but there is not a day that goes by that we don’t salute the extraordinary work of nurses.  Thank you for everything you do!
